Matt Le Tissier believes David Moyes should be absolved of blame for Manchester United's poor performances this season.
The Southampton great is of the belief that the Scottish manager has copped too much criticism for the downfall of the Red Devils, who sit seventh on the Premier League table, when the players are just as responsible for the negative results.
"There seems to be a complete lack of belief in their ability to win football matches," Le Tissier told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show on talkSPORT.
"I've never seen them look so short on ideas in terms of going forward at Old Trafford. They used to dominate teams at Old Trafford.
"The players do have to look at themselves. It's very easy to throw the criticism straight at David Moyes but you cannot just put the entire blame on the manager. There are too many players at the football club who have under-performed this season."
