Southampton have left Virgil van Dijk out of their squad for their French training camp.
New Saints manager and former Reds defender Mauricio Pellegrino has not included the Dutchman in the 25-man party for the trip to Evain-les-Bains, says the Liverpool Echo.
Van Dijk travelled with Southampton for their previous training get-together in Austria earlier this month, but has since been banished to train on his own after expressing to Pellegrino his desire to leave.
Liverpool are prepared to shatter their transfer record so sign the £60million-rated van Dijk, who has been a long-time target of Jurgen Klopp.
