Southampton keeper Davis to appear for West Ham

Southampton goalkeeper Kelvin Davis will appear for West Ham United on Sunday against Grays.

The 32-year-old club captain and player of the year is out of contract at St Mary's, with the uncertainty surrounding the future of the club meaning he could not be offered a new deal.

Saints boss Mark Wotte remains hopeful of keeping Davis at the League One outfit once the proposed takeover of the club is completed.

But the former Ipswich and Sunderland keeper has had a medical at Upton Park with Hammers manager Gianfranco Zola looking for back-up to England international Robert Green.
