Southampton are moving for Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts.

The Mirror says the south coast club are battling French outfit Nice and Celtic to land tricky winger Roberts for the season.

Roberts completed his 18-month loan stint at Celtic last season, helping them win a domestic treble last season scoring 11 times in 47 appearances.

City are willing to loan the 20 year-old out again to continue his development and he is not short of options.

Roberts is open to a move to Nice but a shot at Premier League football with Southampton could prove too to turn down.
