Southampton are targeting Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts.

The Daily Mail says Mauricio Pellegrino wants to bolster his side's attack and will ask Pep Guardiola if Roberts is in his plans.

The City boss wants to see how he fares in pre-season before making a decision on whether the 20-year-old can go out on loan again after a successful spell at Celtic last year.

Roberts made 47 appearances in all competitions last season, contributing 11 goals and 19 assists.

The youngster has played just once for City's first team in September 2015, coming on as a substitute during a 4–1 win against Sunderland in the League Cup.
