Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg was delighted with his goal in victory at Crystal Palace.

Saints won 2-0 for their first victory of the season.

"There are two feelings in the dressing room and they are that we are very happy and relieved because we've been working for a result like this for a time now," Højbjerg said, “and I think everyone in and around the club will share that feeling too.

“The last few games have had some positives, even though we shouldn't have lost against Leicester. We came back and got a good reaction today, taking on what we needed to do tactically and we delivered."
