Southampton defender Cedric Soares is delighted with the way he's settled on the south coast.
Soares arrived in the summer from Sporting CP.
"It wasn't an easy choice to come," he admits to the Daily Mail. "Sporting are a big club, always fighting for the title. But I think I made the right decision. The Premier League is tough, another level.
"I spoke with Marcos, he said it was all the time cold. Even worse in Manchester because it's higher. But he also told me it is really nice to play here, it is tough and you get better because it is another level, another world.
"Before I signed, I spoke to Ronald Koeman on the phone. I wanted to know if I was his choice as well as the choice of the club. When he told me they were together in the decision, it was what I was expecting to hear, so it made me move of course."
