Southampton whizkid Calum Chambers is expected to start in the Capital One Cup against Bristol City.
If selected, the England Under-19 captain will not be taking this evening's match lightly.
"Bristol will come here wanting to prove a point and looking for an upset, so I think we have to play with respect to them," Chambers told Saints Player.
"Hopefully our quality will come through in the end. We have good a really squad now. In training the quality is so high that everyone is improving week-by-week.
"With Nathaniel (Clyne) fit, we'll both be pushing each other on," continued the youngster. "There's great competition for places in the squad now, so we'll be improving each other's games.
"If I play [against Bristol City], it's another opportunity for me to show what I can do and to try to really push on."
