Southampton fullback Ryan Bertrand is still amazed by his Champions League heroics with Chelsea.
Bertrand was chucked in the deep end for Chelsea's dramatic victory in a penalty shootout against Bayern Munich in the Germans' own Allianz Arena.
"The whole achievement of the Champions League year is something I become more and more in awe of it the further it gets," he said.
"At the time it went by so quickly and you are aware it's the biggest club competition but the further you get away from it, the more respect you have for it, when you start to realise the greats and the teams that have won it.
"Just before the end of that season I was playing in front of Ash in training and the last game of the season against Blackburn I played there in front of him.
"It was one of those things were you think: 'He could...but surely he's not going to!'"
