Southampton flop signing Juanmi has sealed a return back to Spain by joining Real Sociedad in a £1.5million deal, according to El Diario Vasco.

Juanmi joined Southampton from Malaga for a fee of around £5m last summer and a lot was expected at the St. Mary's Stadium from the talented Spaniard.

However, the 22-year-old failed to score a single goal during his time at with the Saints and the striker is now set to seal a move back to Spain after agreeing terms with Sociedad.

The deal is not yet sorted though as Southampton want closer to £3m for the one-time Spain international.
