Southampton are eyeing Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen.

The Mirror says Saints are ready to reunite Allen with his old Stoke boss Mark Hughes — if Saints beat the drop.

The Wales midfielder is also a target for West Ham, who had an approach for him rejected in January.

However, the influence of Hughes could swing the deal in Southampton's favour this summer.
