Southampton have already drawn up a shortlist of replacements should George Burley win the Scotland manager's job.

The Daily Mail says former Southampton managers Glenn Hoddle and Dave Jones are in the running to return to the club if Burley leaves St Mary's to take up the Scotland job.

The other leading contender is Billy Davies, who left Derby in November.

Jones is currently in charge at Cardiff, while Hoddle has been out of management since leaving Wolves in 2006.
