Southampton directors sweating on Holland Euro qualifier

Southampton directors are anxiously waiting to get beyond this international week.

The Sunday Express says Guus Hiddink has threatened to resign as Dutch boss if his side suffer defeat at home to Latvia in a European Championship qualifier.

Hiddink, who succeeded Louis Van Gaal in the summer, has suffered four defeats in five games.

The last one on Wednesday in a friendly against Mexico heaped extra pressure on the 68-year-old.

If Hiddink goes, Ronald Koeman would be installed as favourite for the Dutch job, though he is loving life on the south coast.
