Southampton defender Yoshida up for clash with "long ball" Australia

Southampton's Japan defender Maya Yoshida is up for their clash today with Australia.

Yoshida, who opened the scoring in last Friday's 6-0 demolition of Honduras, concedes that the next fixture for Samurai Blue will provide a much more accurate picture of their current form.

"Australia will be much more difficult," he told the Japanese newspaper, Kyodo News. "[Tim] Cahill is the one of the most difficult strikers to play against in Asia. Physically he is very strong and is a great header of the ball.

"I think they will try and play long balls to him and pick up the second balls to shoot, but of course I am looking forward to playing against him."
