Southampton defender Matt Targett says they must keep hold of teammates Saido Mane and Victor Wanyama.

Mane, who suffered a hip injury in Sunday's goalless draw at Watford, is wanted by Manchester United while Tottenham are after Wanyama.

And Targett said: "If we can keep the likes of Mane, Wanyama, it is a good platform to build on until January, then I guess there will be more speculation over their futures.

"But if we can keep them in this window, it will help us as a team. It's vitally important to keep them."
