Southampton have coughed up big to make Ryan Bertrand a permanent signing from Chelsea.

Bertrand has signed a four-and-half-year deal with Saints, having joined in the summer on-loan.

The Daily Mail says the fee was £10 million.

Liverpool tried to sign him last summer but were quoted £8m by the Blues.
