Southampton are confident securing manager Ronald Koeman to a new deal.
The Dutchman has been linked with the Netherlands job as they look for answers to solve their dismal European qualification campaign.
Koeman signed a three-year deal at Saints last year, but according to the Daily Mirror, the club want to extend his contract for fear of him leaving for the national job.
Koeman guided Southampton to an impressive Capital One Cup victory last night as they defeated MK Dons 6-0 with Jay Rodriguez, Sadio Mane and Shane Long each scoring twice.
