Southampton closing in on Stoke defender Collins

Southampton are set to sign Stoke City defender Danny Collins.

Southampton boss Nigel Adkins is ready to agree terms with Stoke City centre half Collins, 31, in a loan swoop, says the People.

Adkins also asked about Matthew Upson, 32, but his wages are too much.
