Southampton are chasing Sporting Lisbon winger Diego Capel.
The Daily Star Sunday says the Spanish international, 26, is available with an option to make the deal permanent for £5million.
Capel, formerly with Seville, came out of the youth system at Barcelona, where Saints boss Ronald Koeman played.
