Southampton are chasing Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond.
The Mirror says Saints had a £5million bid rejected in the summer, but they are one of several Premier League clubs keeping a keen eye on the England Under-21 star.
Redmond was dropped by Canaries boss Neil Adams for last week's Championship defeat by Nottingham Forest but he produced a man-of-the-match display for Gareth Southgate's U-21s in their victory over Portugal on Thursday.
Norwich are believed to want £8m for him, with Saints most likely to meet that fee.
