Aston Villa face competition from Southampton for Harry Forrester.
The Birmingham Mail says the 21-year-old is currently at Brentford but is in big demand for the January window and has caught the eye of Southampton boss Nigel Adkins.
Forrester joined Brentford from Aston Villa 18 months and is also wanted back at Villa Park.
