Southampton captain Adam Lallana admits Ricki Lambert has been an inspiration this season.
The pair, along with Jay Rodriguez, are with the England squad this week.
"It's what me and Jay Rod look up to," Lallana told the Daily Echo of Lambert, who scored with his first ever touch in an England shirt, netting the winner in a 3-2 victory against Scotland in August.
"We train with him every day. Me and Jay were texting each other as soon as that goal (v Scotland) went in.
"He was the first person I spoke to and I was the first person he spoke to.
"We've got a chance to emulate that and I'm really looking forward to that."
