Southampton and Bournemouth are battling for Saint Etienne winger Max Gradel.

The Mirror says Saints and neighbours Bournemouth are involved in a tug-of-war for ex-Leeds winger Gradel.

The promoted Cherries have led the chase for the 27-year-old Ivory Coast international, who is keen on a move back to England.

But Europa League-bound Southampton have also registered their interest in the wideman, for whom Bournemouth have had a £4m bid rejected - his French club want closer to £7m.
