Southampton boss Claude Puel is moving to trump Everton for Olympique Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal.

The youngster is the subject of a €13 million bid from Everton this week.

However, Puel is attempting to rumble the Merseysiders' plans and RMC says he's called Ghezzal directly to discuss a move to St Mary's.

Saints have the cash power to match Everton in a bidding war for the youngster.
