Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino says a player's nationality won't dictate his transfer policy.
Pochettino insists that a player's nationality would not be an issue.
"It's not something that I consider - not signing a player because he has to travel a long way to his national side. We just sign good players," he told the Daily Echo.
"Of course there needs to be an equilibrium in all squads. You cannot sign five Argentinian players, five Brazilian players or five Uruguayan players, there has to be a balance.
"With the signings that we made the one who has to travel the furthest is Victor Wanyama who has to go to Kenya. Lovren plays in Europe and Osvaldo plays for the Italian national side so they are fairly close."
