Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino is happy with their summer market.
Saints brought in three new signings in the window, although the best piece of business is arguably keeping the club's key players at St Mary's amid intense speculation.
“I am happy with the squad that I've got in this moment," Pellegrino said. “For me now this group of players is together until January at least.
“They are the best players for me and I will try to work with them and be together in this period of time and try and improve the team on an individual level and as a team on and off the pitch.
“But I'm happy with the squad. I think it's really competitive. But always we can improve the squad.
“We've got really competitive people working in the scouting area and I think we always have to be prepared for the future, but we've got a squad which is young and is full of quality.
“I think we are prepared to make that next step this season."
