Southampton boss Alan Pardew believes FA Cup opponents Portsmouth could go bust.
Pompey were in the High Court this week to fight a winding-up petition while Pardew's former club Crystal Palace went into administration earlier this month.
He said: "Everyone thinks there will always be a silver lining in football. But maybe this is the time when one or two clubs finally go the wall.
"David Sullivan and David Gold must be thinking 'wow, what have we taken on at West Ham?' Portsmouth are in the same boat.
"I certainly don't enjoy what is happening at Portsmouth. There's no gloating or smugness on my part.
"Southampton should be a warning to Portsmouth of what could happen.
"We were a Premier League club and before we knew it we found ourselves in League One with a 10-point deduction."
