Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has defended the form of Dusan Tadic.
He has tailed off in recent games, leading to criticism from fans and Koeman revealed Tadic has been putting in extra hours on the training pitch to try and get back to his best.
Koeman said: "On one side I like Dusan very much because if he doesn't play at the level that he and we expect, he's always thinking he has to do more.
"Last weekend after QPR, he didn't play, Sunday was the day off and he came to do training.
"On one side I appreciate that quality and that personality but on the other side, sometimes you need a rest to be one hundred per cent."
