Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has ruled out a new deal for Gaston Ramirez.

Koeman has confirmed that Gaston Ramirez is free to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Middlesbrough have been linked with a move for the midfielder who signed for the Saints in 2012.

He said: "I spoke to Gaston and I mentioned to him there is no future in the club at the end of his contract. I said if you really like to play football then you have to go somewhere."
