Southampton boss Ronald Koeman says Dutch football needs to rethink their coaching methods.
Holland is on the brink of elimination from next summer's Euros in France.
The Dutch coaches association met yesterday, with Koeman among those in attendance.
The Saints boss admits the unthinkable must be considered: "We have spent far too much time focused on football itself, and not development. As a result, we forget other important things.
"Physical condition and mentality for example. In this we are losing ground."
Koeman also called on the KNVB to appoint a technical director.
