Southampton manager George Burley has admitted Chris Baird's move to Sunderland now depends on the player.

The Saints have accepted a £3million bid for the Northern Ireland defender.

"We have agreed a fee for Chris and the ball is in his court. I don't want him to leave but it is a fair offer," Burley told the club's website.
