Yoshida made his first start on Saturday in the 4-1 win over Aston Villa and Adkins says he has already settled into life on the south coast
"He has come in with an assurance about himself. He wins headers and tackles and passes the ball ever-so-well, with a real calmness," Adkins said.
"We have good competition for places now so we are delighted with his performances.
"His English is good, he understands the game and the more we can work on the training ground together, as a unit, the more we will progress."
