Southampton intend to bid for Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland.
The Daily Mail says Southampton are leading the race for Butland.
The Premier League strugglers will use the January transfer window to bolster their defence, with the 19-year-old England international top of their wish-list.
Southampton have been interested in Butland since the summer and are ready to launch a £5million bid.
