Southampton are competing with Norwich City for Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella.

The Daily Echo says the 30-year-old striker, who has been capped 25 times by Italy, is understood to be surplus to requirements at Juventus.

Norwich are believed to have sounded out a potential £6m move for the striker but his wage demands, reportedly around £40,000 a week, also need to be taken into account.
