Southampton have appealed against the red card received by forward Sadio Mane during the 2-1 win at Stoke City on Saturday.
Referee Lee Mason gave the 23-year-old a straight red for his challenge on Stoke's Erik Pieters in injury-time of the game and the Saints have confirmed they will contest the three-game sanction that comes with the sending off.
"Southampton FC can confirm we have lodged an appeal against the red card shown to Sadio Mane at Stoke on Saturday," the club tweeted on Monday.
A spokesperson from the FA has confirmed that Mane's appeal will be heard on Tuesday.
