Southampton boss Claude Puel is seeking a reunion with AS Monaco striker Valère Germain.

The pair worked together at Nice and Puel, says L'Equipe, wants to ferry him to the south coast this month.

Germain is off contract in June and rejected a new contract offer from ASM.

Last season, while on-loan at Nice, the 26 year-old scored 14 goals in 38 L1 matches.

Along with Saints, Everton are also interested in Germain.
