Southampton are in advanced negotiations with manager Mauricio Pochettino over a new deal.
The Telegraph says Pochettino has been in negotiations over an improved deal for the past month and could reach an agreement to commit his future to the club before the end of the season.
The Argentine has established a reputation as one of the most forward-thinking young managers in Europe and Katharina Liebherr, the Southampton owner, is determined to ensure stability by keeping him at St Mary's.
Pochettino's current contract is around £1 million a year and runs until the end of next season but the new terms would significantly enhance his salary.
