South Korean legend Ahn Jung-hwan returns to Busan I'Park

The 2002 and 2006 World Cup hero joined the K-League club over the weekend following weeks of speculation as to his next destination.

The 31 year-old last donned the red and white shirt from 1997 to 2000. During that period, the former Metz, Duisberg and Perugia player played a total of 87 games for the club and scored 42 goals.

New Busan coach and fellow 2002 star Hwang Sun-hong is looking forward to working with the mercurial marksman.

"First, he needs to become fit but the most important thing is his desire," Hwang told Ilgan Sports.

"From the first game he wants to show the fans what he can do."

"I expect he will prove to be a role model to the young players. There are many things the younger players can learn from him.

"We can help each other. I talked to him last week and I know that he is thinking positively about this new challenge."
