South Korea too good for Nigeria

South Korea continued their good recent form by defeating Nigeria 2-1 in an international friendly on Wednesday night.

Played at the Suwon World Cup Stadium, the Taeguk Warriors opened the scoring through debutant Yoon Bit-Garam in the 17th minute before Nigeria's Peter Odemwingie equalised minutes later.

FC Seoul's Cho Hyo-jin grabbed a second for the home side in the 41st minute after a nice pass from skipper Park Ji-sung allowed him to easily slot home.

The match was marked as the farewell occasion for veteran goalkeeper Lee Won-jae who made his final international appearance.

In other Asian friendlies, China and Bahrain drew 1-1 in Guangzhou, Kazakhstan defeated Oman 3-1, Iran had a 3-1 win over Armenia, Uzbekistan lost 1-0 to Albania and Slovenia downed Australia 2-0.
