Bolton Wanderers winger Chung-Yong Lee is ready for his South Korean showdown with Manchester United's Park Ji-sung today. The pair flew back to England together on Thursday night after helping their country to a 2-0 friendly victory over Senegal on Wednesday.
"Ji-Sung said he would be on the bench but he told me 'you do well,' the 21-year-old said.
"It's going to be my first Premier League match against another South Korean player so it will be really meaningful. I hope I can start because I am ready for this match at Old Trafford. I want to score against United and I also wish Ji-Sung can score against Bolton.
"But I will play for the team not individually. And we can get a positive result because we have a really good team spirit at Bolton. I don't think winning against United is a problem for us."
Park admits he has also been impressed with Chung-Yong's exciting start to his career at Wanderers. The United midfielder, and national captain, has tipped the "Blue Dragon" to become a better player for his Premier League experience.
"Chong-Yong is really doing well at Bolton and he is expecting to play against United," the 28-year-old midfielder said. "He is growing in confidence.
"His improvement is valuable for the national team."
