South Korea's Lee asks Bolton for increased wages

South Korea international Lee Chung-Yong has asked his English Premier League club Bolton Wanderers for a pay rise.

The Korea Times reports that the 22-year old winger has enquired about having his wages increased following his World Cup performance and at this early stage, the Trotters have reacted positively.

Last season, Lee's first away from FC Seoul, netted him around $AUD1.4million ($KRW1.5milion) but he has asked for a 100% increase.

His agent will fly to England for negotiations whilst Lee remains in his homeland on holidays but reports suggest the representative will not act too quickly as clubs such as Liverpool are believed to be interested in his clients services.
