Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa was delighted with their thumping win over Europa League opponents Belenenses.
Giuseppe Rossi played a full 90 minutes and topped it off with his first goal in 501 days.
"It is an important step forward to get Rossi back to the right level of form. Rossi has an extraordinary heart and went through two years of immense suffering," said Sousa.
He added: “We are experiencing a good moment of form and must make the most of it, keep that momentum going without ever letting our guard drop.
“The lads who came on brought more pace to the passing and that allowed us to add more goals in the second half. I am happy."
