Thomas Sorensen has hit out at Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill.

"Of course I have been bitter but I am not the type that breaks down and cries," he told BT. "That does not help me in any way.

"But it's obvious that I didn't think that things could go so wrong. If I had been performing badly, I could say it was my own fault.

"But I have done my best and have also done well for the national team - and still it meant absolutely nothing. I have never found out why he [O'Neill] doesn't want to take a chance on me.

"He would probably say that I am not good enough but that is what I do not fully understand."
