Sone Aluko is happy to have opened new contract talks with Hull City.
Talks are underway to extend Aluko's contract beyond the end of this season but he has stressed nothing will be done "overnight."
"These things take time and now the season has started there's a focus on games," he told the Hull Daily Mail.
"It's going to drag out but that's the way it is.
"There's no obstacles really, it's just standard negotiations.
"I'm 24 and I'm coming into the important years of my career. I'm not 18 anymore.
"The next three years, four years, however long it may be, are going to be the biggest of my career so it's got to be right for both me and the club.
"It won't be an overnight thing."
