Son Heung-min continued his love affair with Borussia Dortmund by again scoring against the German giants.
The South Korea international netted his fifth goal in his three Bundesliga outings against BVB in Bayer Leverkusen's 1-0 win at Signal Iduna Park on the weekend and was delighted to have contributed to a vital victory for his side.
"I'm glad to have scored such an important goal. I went into the game hoping to stay cool and enjoy the game and it worked out pretty well," he said after netting his first away goal for Bayer.
"It'll take a while for it to sink in that I've scored against Dortmund again.
"It's true though, that I tend to have a good feeling whenever I play in Dortmund. I just enjoy playing in front of such a big audience. In the Bundesliga there are so many good sides that you enjoy playing against, and it isn't at all easy to face Dortmund. It always demands a lot of effort and concentration."
From a team point of view, Son said that second-placed Leverkusen were serious about their title challenge as they sit just four points behind league leaders Bayern Munich and now six ahead of Dortmund who lie third.
"Both Bayern and Dortmund are very strong, but it's no coincidence we're in second place. We have a very strong side ourselves and deserve to be up there," he added.
"We shouldn't look to far ahead and start dreaming. As long as we keep up the right attitude we'll continue collecting points. Bayern might be ahead for now, but of course we want to challenge them. Why wouldn't we?"
