The son of Sheffield Wednesday legend David Hirst scored for England U18 in victory over Poland.

Indeed, he scored both goals in the 2-0 win.

George Hirst is the 17-year-old son of David - who spent 11 prolific years at Hillsborough between 1986 and 1997 - and is enjoying an exceptional year.

He signed professional forms with Wednesday back in March, made his senior debut in their EFL Cup defeat to Cambridge United back in August, and has since graduated to the England under 18 side.
