The son of former Tottenham striker Jurgen Klinsmann has signed with Hertha Berlin.

Hertha have signed Jonathan Klinsmann, the son of former United States coach and Germany striker Jurgen Klinsmann.

The 20-year-old, a goalkeeper with the United States Under 20s team, achieved his goal of earning a contract, Hertha said. The club did not disclose the length of the deal.

"Jonathan convinced us with his ability, charisma and ambition. He'll now settle with us and develop step by step," said Hertha general manager Michael Preetz.
