The son of former Juventus star Attilio Lombardo has made his debut for Sampdoria.
Mattia Lombardo saw action in Samp's defeat to Inter Milan.
"It was an incredible emotion for me," the 19-year-old midfielder told Rai Sport after coming off the bench in a 4-0 defeat to Inter.
"To play in the stadium where my father won so much was very emotional, a real dream come true for me."
Former Manchester City coach Attilio Lombardo is currently in Turkey, working as part of Roberto Mancini's Galatasaray staff.
"My father was watching the game from Istanbul with Mancini."
