Son Heung-min is determined to secure a regular start at Tottenham.
Spurs have signed striker Vincent Janssen, top scorer in the Eredivisie with AZ Alkmaar last season, and are close to tying up a deal for Marseille's winger Georges-Kevin N'Koudou.
But Son, who scored eight goals in 40 appearances in his debut campaign at White Hart Lane last season, is determined to fight for a place.
"There are always players that you have to battle for playing time, no matter which team you play for," Son said.
"There's no reason why I should fall behind in the competition. To win the battle, I have to get better myself."
