Somen Tchoyi asked Cameroon pals about West Brom

Somen Tchoyi admits he leaned on his Cameroon pals before deciding to sign with West Bromwich Albion.

The Austrian Player of the Year is settling in well to life in the Black Country and he is hoping to flourish at the club his Sheffield-based brother, Alex, and fellow countryman and Burnley star, Andre Bikey, recommended to him.

"I believe I can grow up with this team, learn and help build something," Tchoyi told the WBA website.

"I have several players in the dressing room who speak French and that is helping me settle in.

"Before I signed I talked with Andre Bikey, who is really close to me.

"My brother Alex also lives in Sheffield and he told me about West Brom and how good the fans are here."
